πŸ—ΊοΈSitemap Viewer

Fetch and browse the URLs in any XML sitemap

About the Sitemap Viewer

Sitemap Viewer fetches an XML sitemap and lists every URL it contains, with last-modified dates and search β€” and it understands sitemap index files too.

It is a quick way to audit what you (or a competitor) are submitting to search engines.

Common use cases

  • Auditing which URLs are in your sitemap
  • Checking a sitemap index and its child sitemaps
  • Finding stale or missing pages before submitting to Google
  • Exploring a competitor’s indexed structure

How to use the Sitemap Viewer

  1. Enter a domain (we’ll try /sitemap.xml) or a full sitemap URL.
  2. Click Load.
  3. Search and browse the URLs, or open a child sitemap from an index.

Frequently asked questions

It says no urlset found β€” why?

The URL may not be a valid XML sitemap, or it may be a sitemap index β€” click through to a child sitemap to see its URLs.

How many URLs can it show?

It parses the whole sitemap and displays up to 1,000 at a time with filtering.

Where is my sitemap usually located?

Most sites use /sitemap.xml; it’s also listed in robots.txt under a Sitemap: directive.
